Our services

Paediatric intervention

Aimed at facilitating engagement in the most important childhood occupations: play and education. We use a variety of activity-based interventions to improve skills, overcome limitations and make play and education more accessible for those who cannot participate fully in these occupations. Children may have difficulty with these occupations due to developmental delays, physical limitations, inattention or emotional difficulties. A comprehensive assessment helps us identify where to intervene to ensure that your child can engage in life to their full extent.

Mental health

Living with a mental health condition can impede on your ability to participate in meaningful activities. We use a variety of treatment modalities to help overcome these difficulties individually or through group therapy. We also use play based interventions to assist children in understanding and managing their emotional needs.

Adult rehabilitation

Whether you had a neurological event like a stroke or an injury such as a fractured hand, getting back to the activities that hold meaning to you can be difficult. We focus on three aspects of activity participation (the activity, the person and the environment) and intervene on all three levels to help you engage in those tasks you want to, need to and have to do. This intervention also includes care giver training and advice on assistive devices. We also perform assessments to determine one’s ability to remain living alone and to advise on the level of care needed after a life event.

Work intervention

Your health may affect your ability to enter the workplace, return to work, or remain at work. Whether you are working, have never worked or are having difficulty to remain at work, occupational therapy can help. Through assessing you health’s impact on your ability to work we can assist in helping you return to work or re-align in the open labour market. We also perform work assessments to determine ability or inability to return to work. Work intervention also includes retirement planning.

“I found it difficult to accept my physical limitations. With my therapist, I was able to explore new ways of still doing the things that matter to me, while accepting help where I had to.”
